The Music Palace opened in 1960's as a Chinese language movie theater. It became the last chinese movie theater in Chinatown when they had their final showing on July 2006. The building subsequently sat idle for 6 years accumulating graffiti, and was demolished in 2006 to make way for a Wyndham hotel.
