133 Canal St. 139 Canal St. New York, NY.

This building formerly housed the Rosemary Theater. The theater closed in 1996. In 1997, the Mayahana Buddhist Temple was dedicated in its place. The temple was built by Annie Ying, founder of the first Buddhist temple on the east coast at 64 Mott St, as well as a Buddhist retreat in upstate NY.

A history of the temple, and an interview with the lay preacher. For a list of low-cost buses, see the chinatown bus page.
