This building was built in 1857 for the Arnold, Constable & Company dry-goods store. Griffith Thomas was believed to be the architect. The store later vacated in 1867 and moved uptown to a new store on 19th st and Broadway (now home to ABC Carpet).

Industrial Plastics occupied this corner of the building from 1965 to March 2005 before they closed. In 2008, Citibank opened.
