House built in 1816 in the Federal style by Stephen Van Rensselaer. The house was originally on the corner, but was moved in 1841 to it's present location. [1]

The first floor housed various stores and restaurants over the years, the Italian Free Library was located there in 1903. Currently it houses a gift and souvenir shop.
